Micro-Crystal Corundum
Micro-crystal corundum 99SA was introduced to those materials that are extremely difficult to grind. It is typically used in the automotive or aerospace industries to grind very hard turbine blades.

Our partner, Carborundum Electrite a.s., holds a patent for this new technology, which produces billions of grinding particles via the ceramic process. As a result, each grain acquires self-sharpening characteristics, and allows for cold cut under aggressive grinding conditions.

Comparison to artificial corundum and Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN), shows that the small crystal size gives rise to increased wear resistance compared to artificial corundum.
